Macarons Pierre Hermé + Moynat Trunk, what else to ask for?!

Moynat has always been an expert in creating Trunks linked to French gastronomy: recently a Breakfast Trunk was created for the Michelin star Chef Yannick Alléno, but way before that, in 1907 the Trunk-maker made the Picnic Trunk and in 1925 the Canteen Trunk.

For a short “pop-up event” in Isetan Tokyo last November, Ramesh Nair, Moynat’s creative director, designed the fabulous malle macaron. What a great idea to carry around your 64 macarons?!

The trunk was modelled after the brand’s Entrepneu trunk, created in the 1900s to fit into the center of a car’s spare tire. The cassis color of the leather covering the trunk was inspired by Pierre Hermé’s Ispahan macaron. It also recall Japan’s rising sun flag.

Anyhow, this trunk is a marvelous creation!
